Gallery Gone
C’est fini.
Our dreams have been realized and goals obtained. After 5 years of operating a successful small business, we have decided to retire from retail. Even if we had only sold 1 piece it would have been worth it because of all of the wonderful people we have met and good friends we have made. Thank you to all of our many customers who have purchased my artwork; I am flattered. If you need something in the future, I am still available.
I am a photographer - I will continue to communicate thru my images. Coming soon, my revamped website
PhotographyByChai.com ) and my new blog
photographpybychai.blogspot.com )
This is not the end only a new beginning - Koru
Thank you Jamie Olsen for the use of your photo.

Horsetail Falls, Yosemite NP

On the east face of El Capitan, this waterfall will glow due to the setting sun. It happens only in the last two weeks in February.

Christmas in downtown Riverside

With night shots you must use a tripod. Nice to also have a camera that takes pictures with low noise in low light situations. Make sure to time the shot when there is little or no movement. ISO 1250, 52mm lens, f3.3, 1/13 second.

From behind the waterfall

Photo taken in just after noon in October in Zion NP, Utah. Its behind a small waterfall on the Emerald Pool Trail. To get the water to look like this I shot it at 1/30 of a second to get the water drops to look like long lines. 24mm lens, ISO 400, f5.6 at 1/30

Zion NP, Utah

Shot taken late afternoon. Fall foliage is greatly enchanted when you get the sun to backlight the leaves.

Aspens in Colorado

Aspen grove between Durango and Silverton Colorado

Aspens in Utah

Aspen grove in central Utah where they are often called "Quakies" because their leaves quiver in the wind. Aspens grow in colonies where many trees share the same root system.

Victoria Beach, CA

This is just south of Laguna Beach, CA. Take Hwy 1 south from Laguna and turn right on Victoria Drive. Note - parking is a premium. At the bottom of the street just as it starts uphill there is a public access to the beach. Once on the beach head north and you will run into this area.
